Instead of forking out for a fancy venue, the couple had a civil ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall, which set them back just £275.

They only had four guests at their wedding, and spent £60 on thank you gifts for the witnesses, which cost them £60.

The happy couple hired a wedding photographer, which cost £250 for two and a half hours, and spent £80 on a bottle of champagne for after the ceremony.

The groom’s suit was £150, while the brides dress, shoes and headband came to just £55.

Almaz chose a stunning long sleeved white mini-dress for her big day, and paired it with simple white heels and a 60s style chunky headband.

The bride did her hair and makeup herself, spent £50 on a bouquet and treated herself to an £80 manicure and pedicure.

Instead of a reception, the couple went to the pub with their four guests after the ceremony, and spent £60 on drinks.

They also treated themselves to a posh boozy Italian lunch at Harry’s in Mayfair, which set them back £350.

They spent £50 on taxis throughout the day, and treated themselves to a £220 room in a Notting Hill hotel the night before their nuptials.

All together, the entire cost of the wedding came to just £1,680.

According to a recent survey by Hitched.co.uk, the average cost of a wedding in the UK in 2023 was a whopping £20,000, more than ten times what this couple chose to spend on their big day.

However, the bride doesn’t feel like she missed out on anything with her budget big day.

Almaz said: “This kind of thing may not be for everyone but I can say without a doubt it was the happiest day of my life and we didn’t miss all of his fancy bits and bobs.

“Sometimes the simple things in life are the best!”

The bride reassured anyone that is thinking of getting married but is worried about the cost, that a wedding does not need to be expensive.

“You can have the best day of your life on a shoe string budget”, she said.

Almaz’s video has gone viral and has racked up almost 500,000 views on TikTok.

Social media users raced to the comments section of the video, which was posted under the username @almaz.eb to share their thoughts.
