Adelaide Man Loses Fiance’s Wedding Dress After Leaving It On Roof Of Car

Lindel Cain and her fiancé Tom Mitton were collecting items from a storage facility from Burton in Adelaide’s north, including a box containing her $2,000 wedding dress for their upcoming nuptials in February next year.

Cain told 7News Adelaide Mitton had forgotten he had placed the box on top of the car to prevent it from being crushed by other items, and he had accidentally driven away with it still on the roof.

“We were pulled into Burnside Village (shopping centre) when the penny dropped for him, and we quickly turned around and tried to retrace our steps,” she said.

“We parked the car and walked along Port Wakefield Rd with trucks going 90km/h past us, trying to find the box somewhere on the side of the road.”

The pair were unable to find the dress and are now offering a $500 reward to anyone who can locate the missing box and gown.

Cain joked that the story would make for a great wedding speech and said her fiancé was very upset over the deal.

“For a man who isn’t very emotional, there were lots of emotions yesterday, lots of tears on his behalf because he could see how upset

Statement Sleeves Set To Be A Big Bridal Trend This Year

Whether it’s a long, lacy train or a detachable bow, there are plenty of ways to add a touch of drama to a wedding dress. But this year, it’s going to be all about the statement sleeve – if Halfpenny’s latest collection is anything to go by.

Halfpenny Previews New Collection, Speak

Halfpenny has long been known for its detachable sleeves, which can be added to dresses to create a unique bridal look – think voluminous taffeta, pretty silk tulle and pleated wing-like add-ons. And its 2024 collection, Speak, does not disappoint.

Set to drop in-store later this year, new pieces include the Dominique Sleeves, triple-bubble, silk organza statement sleeves, which are available with or without an overlay of floral lace. These can be added to either the new Dominique dress, a boned, square-necked bodice with a full mikado skirt, or the Victoria dress, which features a square neck.

The Speak collection also includes a new version of the popular Sun sleeves, available in taffeta, satin, mikado or lace, designed to be paired with any of Halfpenny’s strapless dresses or tops. All Halfpenny’s sleeves can be detachable, which is ideal for brides who want to mix up their looks throughout

My best pal’s wife said my dress for their wedding was ‘f**king trashy’ – she hated the color as I’m ‘not first prize’

A WOMAN who wore a “gold” dress to her friend’s wedding has revealed she was called “f**king trashy” by the angry bride.

She explained in a post on Reddit’s Am I the A*shole? forum that her best friend Dan tied the knot with Lauren, who has “always disliked” her, despite the fact there has never been any romantic relationship between her and her longtime pal.

Lauren had even banned the woman from seeing Dan alone, claiming that it felt “suspicious” that the pals wanted to hang out together.

And despite the fact that Dan had spoken to his wife-to-be “multiple times”, she would always start complaining about him “being friends with a girl again” after backing off for a bit.

The Reddit poster admitted: “It’s not ideal but she makes Dan happy so I made my peace with it.”

At the wedding the woman was initially due to be in the groom’s party, but Lauren disagreed with swapping “gender roles”.

Browse slate bride’s see-through dress that ‘looks like gingerbread’

THOUGH we’d never admit it, most women have planned what they will look like in their dream wedding dress.

While lace can often add elegance to a dress, the placement on one bride’s outfit has raised more than a few eyebrows online.

Going viral for all the wrong reasons on Facebook, users were shocked by the newlywed’s unusual choice of gown.

When looking at the original photo posted on the That’s it, I’m Wedding Shaming group, it is hard for your eye not to be immediately drawn to the bride’s dress.

Though it should have been a romantic pic of the newlyweds, members of the group seem to be too distracted by the nude illusion outfit.

Rather than blending in with her skin tone though, it seems orange against her hands and neck makes the bodysuit look boxier than it really is.

Lace is usually a safe choice for your big day, but the bold floral pattern on this dress does nothing to flatter the woman’s curves.

Often more risqué than romantic, the design seems to highlight the

Groom Is In Deep Trouble After Losing Fiancee’s Wedding Dress

It’s going to be a long couple of months and years before this groom is back in good graces with his future wife.

According to soon-to-be bride Lindel Cain, she and fiancée Tom are currently asking the public’s help in trying to find her $2,000+ wedding gown after her fiancée mistakenly left it on top of the car before driving away.

Sure, Tom – we’ll believe it was ‘a mistake.’ (Also, there’s just something hilarious that his name is Tom. If it wasn’t going to be Chad, Tom is the next best name to yell at.)

HUSBAND LEFT IT ON TOP OF CAR!

“We have unfortunately lost a potential wedding dress. Tom stupidly left the package on the roof of the car,” Cain wrote in a Facebook post. They are now offering a $500 award if anyone can find it.

Apparently, TOM (damnit, Tom!) was moving boxes and packages when he put the most important thing besides the wedding rings – his bride’s wedding dress

I got my wedding dress AND shoes for £55… the whole day was on a shoestring budget, it doesn’t need to be expensive

A BRIDE has revealed that she was able to get her wedding dress, shoes and a headband for just £55.

Taking to social media, newly wed Almaz shared a video of how she and her husband were able to have a London wedding for less than £1700.

Instead of forking out for a fancy venue, the couple had a civil ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall, which set them back just £275.

They only had four guests at their wedding, and spent £60 on thank you gifts for the witnesses, which cost them £60.

The happy couple hired a wedding photographer, which cost £250 for two and a half hours, and spent £80 on a bottle of champagne for after the ceremony.

The groom’s suit was £150, while the brides dress, shoes and headband came to just £55.

Op shop inherits hundreds of new wedding gowns, creating a bargain bridal bonanza for shoppers

The shop-front mannequin at the ‘Wello Op Shop’ looks incongruously overdressed.

Gazing cooly into the middle distance, she models a pristine wedding gown confected with layers of ivory tulle, silver beading and delicate lace — the kind you’d expect to find in a Sydney or Melbourne boutique.

Except it’s in Wellington, in central west NSW, flanked by preloved soft toys and a flickering sign that says “open”.

“A lot of our dresses are the best quality,” shop assistant Angela Skordalis says.

“Most of them are brand-new, but for a much better price.”

Once inside, the scale of what Ms Skordalis describes sinks in.

Rack after rack groans under the weight of kilos of silk, satin and taffeta in antique white, ivory, off-white, cream and mushroom.

“As soon as [shoppers] look at the wedding dresses, they’re just flabbergasted,” Ms Skordalis says.

“They’re like, ‘Oh my God, there’s so many!'”

Sophie Marren’s Second Dress Puts Fun Twist On Wedding Style

Anyone looking for bridal inspiration can’t go wrong turning to the Ireland rugby team’s better halves, and the newest stylish bride to walk down the aisle is Sophie Marren.

Sophie and her new husband Robbie Henshaw said I Do at Cashel Palace in March and while her satin wedding dress had us swooning when the official pictures dropped, her second dress of the day was just as dreamy.

She changed into a fitted gown for the evening celebrations with long sleeves and cut-outs. Sophie made sure all eyes were on her statement dress by ditching her veil and personalized sleeves to dance the night away.

If you’ve fallen for Sophie’s evening dress, then the good news is we’ve searched the internet and it appears to be the Alex Perry Cohan satin-crepe cutout gown which has padded shoulders and a fitted skirt with a slit up the back.

The full-length fitted style has long sleeves with zipped cuffs and a sweetheart neckline featuring a cutout detail, adding a little fun twist to a standard white bridal look.
